🏁Monitoring positions

This guide is intended to help you understand how to monitor your betting positions.

After placing one or more matched bets, it’s important to understand how to monitor your aggregate positions and the USDC exposure you have as a result.

Once you’ve placed an order, you can monitor your position for a given market in the β€˜Bet History’ tab.

Monitoring Positions in Open Tab

Go to the β€˜Open’ tab on the page to view all your current positions.

Open bet refers to a bet that has been placed but the outcome is not yet determined. The result of the bet is still pending and will be determined in the future, such as the outcome of a sporting event that has not yet concluded.

Live bet, on the other hand, refers to a type of bet that can be placed while the event is in progress. It allows bettors to wager on various outcomes during the course of the event, taking advantage of real-time information and adjusting their bets accordingly.

Monitoring Positions in Settled Tab

On a Settled Bets page, you can review your historical betting activity, track wins, and losses, and analyze your betting performance.

What is PUSH?

A push happens when a bet is neither won nor lost. This can happen when the betting line matches the exact outcome, or the game is cancelled or postponed. For example, if a spread is 2 and the favoured team wins by 2, that’s a push. If a total is 3 and the final score is 2-1, that’s a push.

Note that "Push" is not the same as "Refund"

Q: How does Push work? Once push happens, we return the value of your purchased bets after converting them back to USDC.e. The value of your purchase bets is calculated based on the last market price of the odds before the market closed (i.e., before the game started), and returned back to you. The market price of the odds may have gone up or down based on the market.

Q: Why can't it be refunded? The refund operation is equivalent to push when the value of your purchase now remains the same as the time when you purchased. This happens only when the odds remain the same.

Unlike other platforms that are not decentralized, there is no bank role (no middleman) that can refund your money, instead the bet happens between you and another entity (just like peer-to-peer trading), This makes the refund very difficult.

When you place a bet, you will get tokens that represent your payouts. The price of the token becomes 1 or 0 depending on whether you win or lose respectively. While the game is not settled, the price of the token depends on the market price of odds. Hence, the game is pushed, the value of your purchase depends on the market price, not your original purchase price.

Monitoring Positions in Redeemed Tab

The Redeemed Bets page typically provides details about the bets redeemed.

Clicking on 'Redeem' will prompt a modal to appear. The modal will give you the estimated payout value for the outcome you've bet on. If you decide to go ahead, simply click 'Redeem All' and you will automatically receive your funds.
